Bugger!!

Well, with my Walbro fitted (old pump diagnosed dead by AA bloke) and a new battery just put on not 30 mins ago, jumped in, turned key...and hey presto...NOWT!! still won't start!!

Any ideas please guys???...oh, Evo4 by the way!

Just out of curiosity, what alarm have you got? Cos with mine if I try and turn the key after 5 mins of opening the door it won't start unless I press the unlock button on my alarm again.

Hello, it has a clifford G5 alarm, I'm actually looking right now at the owners manual to see if you need to reset anything after changing the car s main battery but no mention of it here? tried locking myself in then opening up again but still no start!

Yeah, all dash lights come on, the engine turns over but just don't want to start...won't even fire up at all..

Sounds like your immobiliser has kicked in, did you have your doors open when you changed your battery?

No doors open, just bonnet but I notice there is an alarm switch there to..

oh, and I can't hear the fuel pump sucking either? which I was lead to believe these Walbros are pretty loud? fuse maybe or relay?

There is a sequence you can try but I'm not 100% sure if the sequence is right, get in your car shut the door put ur key in ignition so the lights come on, then lock the car with the fob then re open the car with the fob, do this twice, then try starting it, if it don't work then best thing to do is contact Clifford and they will be able to help you out.

That's cos the immobiliser has kicked in, it won't let you do anything till it gets reset.

Thanks..just tried your suggestion, the fob won't let me lock or unlock the car whilst the ignition lights are on and I have an intermittent 'clicking' noise coming from the ignition key area like a very slow indicator noise? I'll take a look on their site...

Have you tested the fuses? There should be some under the main glove box or by the steering wheel, and under your bonnet too.

Righty then.. just got off the blower to Clifford (she doesn't sound like a Clifford!) and the good news is I explained the situation to her and the intermittent clicking noise I'm getting from the steering column and the immobiliser has defo kicked in...bad news is an engineer has to come out and sort it..even worse news...can't do it til at least Tuesday...even bloody worse news...£150.00!!! that's my Turbosmart BOV on the back burners!!

Whoo hoo I got something right !! Lol damn it there's no one around to see my glory either, I'll have to do my lil victory dance alone in my head lol. On the downside thats abit pricey for a guy to come out to click a few buttons a few times ! But glad I could help you out though

Yeah, was just thinking the same..trouble is people aren't to helpful round this way..even the garages don't want to take my money?

Where bouts are you based? Try an alarm or audio specialist they might be able to help or even tell u over the phone, without paying so bloody much money, I wouldn't pay 150 out for a guy to press a few buttons sod that !
