hi buddy silly question have you got any volts to the pump when trying to start . should prime when you first turn on the ignition .

you could try running a live to the pump just to see if it starts .

i belive there are 2 fuel pump relays on the bulk head just above and behind the inlet manifold .

also have you checked the plugs to see if its flooded ??



also dont rule out the crank sensor as that will give the same symtoms . are you sure its a 5 engine in your 4 ??

it sounds like this may have been a problem for a while as yi think you said that the pump had already been out ..


it might be time to get a evo expert to look at it :O(

One's the AYC relay. There are 2 relays, one on the bulkhead and the other on the fusebox under the steering column :)

It could be a knackered relay, but without being next to the car to do checks, its going to have to be trial and error
