Have you treid running acuator pressure alone ? Ie without the boostcontrollers influence?

Meaning the hose off the boostsource directly to the actuator?

Do that now abnd Look what happens. It should only boost 1.2ish If at all

Was there any play in the shaft? Have you connected the solenoid the correct way? You made sure there's no boost leaks? Do you have a wideband?

There was very minimal play just normal really and yeah I've checked the solenoid and that's fine don't have a wideband mate no I've got a turbosmart eboost 2 controller and apexi ecu if that's any help and I can't see any leaks anywhere no where should I be checking

If it was ok before then it sounds like you've disturbed something or there is a problem with the turbo. You'll have to pressurise the pipe work to test for leaks

Vacuum hose of the bov? Vacuum hoses slipped off causing a boost leak, you forgot to reconnect the maf sensor plug? Vacuum hose off the vacuum canister at the back of the intake mani fell off... ?

Remove the bumper and inspect all boost pipes, pull on em ,inspect for cracks etc.

I had the same issue when i fitted my 80 series to my V! First thing to do is loop pipe from turbo to actuator and go for drive and check that drives ok like that and boosts to 0.8/0.9 bar and holds it! If its boosting higher then your actuator could be an uprated version which means it stays closed to a higher a pressure meaning ur controller needs less duty to reach set boost pressure so controller will be cutting boost to stop over shoot then making boost again when pressure drops off again! Hense your on/off issue! Then I reset my boost controller (apexi avcr) and started it at 50% duty and went for test drive! Then gradually increased duty till i reached my desired boost level.
Hope this sorts it out for u!

Right guys I've tried taking the solenoid out of play and linked a pipe from actuator to turbo and it peaked at 0.8 bar don't no if that's right or not and then reconnected it back up and still the same problem hits about 1.1bar spikes to 1.6 then drops off all together and runs like a n/a car please help

Do u guys think it could be something to do with my controller as its really complicated with tonnes of settings it's a turbosmart eboost 2

0.8 is std actuator pressure. So that's fine.
Plugging in the boost controller causes problems meens its def that. You could try a new 3 port solenoid and connect to controller!

Ok mate will it have to be a turbosmart one tho and also why has it only done this since changing the turbo?

Should be any 3port. Just connect 2 wires...
It could be coincidence or something was reconnected wrong or damaged in changing parts.
