Exactly. I think it is the leak that helps. The excess air that causes the surge is going back into the intake.

That said the evc 6 cannot be cured for surging hence all the hks info you see uses the evc 5.

isn't this more of a bandaid though, a leak is going to overwork the turbo a bit and upset fueling?

When it is mapped on the stick dv no the furling is done for this. On geof's it is to see if that is the cause.
