balance shaft timing for evo 6

This is my first ever evo so don't knw much about them only that I loved them as a kid

If the actual balance shaft if funked up as your mechanic is saying then it stands to reason that the oil pump might have suffered damage or perhaps the block internally too.
Your gonna need to check with your mechanic to find out how he has determined what he has told you and maybe post a pic of the actual shaft up on here too pal. If he's got it out.

Is the mechanic proposing to remove the pump and inspect (if so, delete it) or is he planning to just refit another balancer shaft as is?
Sounds a little iffy to me.

He sed the bearings have gone in the balance shaft so does that mean the balance shaft is funked

Well it tends to be the bearings that go but the way you posted up what the mechanics findings were kind of makes it sound a little sinister.
You need to clarify if it's just the bearings or is the actual shaft funked too. If the shaft is funked up too then in what way?

Probably put it up wrong he sed the bearing are funked so he ordered some more n charging me 160 to supply and fit does that sound bout rite

Cambelt was. Changed just before I had it he sed that everything looks fine there he jus sed when they timed balance shaft it was out a few teeth well a fair few teeth he sed

Sounds like it was probably 360 degrees the wrong way.

Had car back thursday omg wat a difference don't feel like my face vibrating off he sed to run bearings in for a week or 2 depending on how much I drive it that make sence 2 u lot thanks
