Air leak

As title, took car out for a drive and got an air leak around when 3k revs. Leaks around when turbo kicks in. Just about got it home, luckily round the corner when it happened.

I'm guessing boost pipes split. Noticed it wasn't as quick the last time I drove it!!

Had a day off, took for drive and this! Sods law, back to work tomorrow so can't get it sorted till Saturday

Any suggestions what it could be? Could it be actuator playing' up too with the power loss?

Power loss because you have an air leak... A leaking system will reduce power. Find the leak and solve your power loss aswell

Thought they might be linked, was no air leak to start off with but power was down quite a lot. I'd say easy 40hp!!

Boost leak common on all turbo cars, check all couplings, have you got a boost gauge

Tell me about it mate. I reckon could be the one. Can hear a lot of air being sucked in and car wouldn't/couldn't really rev past 3k. Revved fine when stationary!

It's the bloody inlet manifold! GRRRRRRR

Believe it's cracked. Didn't get a look myself, I was at work. Sure my mate said it was cracked!

Problem is a cracked pipe that connects to boost pipe which connects to the manifold

Was this part here. Left to the screw on the jubilee clip. They corrode away because of water sitting in there!!
