Hi all,
if the answer to the title is yes then just let us know what you are after right here and some one will be along in a while to help you out.

We have quite a few specialists in this field that are active members and they will be happy to point you in the right direction whether it is advice, supply or re-mapping that you require.

I personally vouch for the following:

Russ/Cossie1:
GEEK MAPPER/TECH specialist He Can travel to you to map your car!!!

Jamie@evotune:
Mapper/TECH specialist

John@evobreakers:
ECU and general parts supplier

Sponners:
Supplier of both Standard and pre mapped ECU's

Just post your requirements and leave the rest to them!!!

It could not be any simpler I think:D

Thanks El.

To clarify things a little, as this stuff can get confusing very quickly.

I am able to map all Evo 4-9 models, that run with the standard ecu's (evo 4's need an ecu from an Evo 5 -7 or Evo 8 260 4 plug ecu fitted).

The standard ecu is very versitile piece of kit, and can be used for all states of tune from 100% standard to well over 700bhp without issues.

There is no need to go for an aftermarket ecu these days, unless your using your evo purely for motorsport use and need things like internal datalogging, full time anti-lag or run 8 injectors (never really used anymore as there are some very large injectors availiable these days).

The standard ecu can do pretty much everything else that any aftermarket ecu can do and it comes standard with something that nearly all aftermarket ecu's charge extra for (knock control),this little feature is something that can save your engine, if something goes wrong (pipe coming off, fuel leak, bad fuel, electrical issue),and it can only take a split second to kill any engine, let alone a highly tuned turbo motor.

Over the last 18 months or so, new features have been added to allow the stock ecu's to give more functions, such as map switching, pops and bangs (mild anti-lag effect),flashing cel on knock, NLTS (flat shifting, but will require a seperate clutch switch fitting),launch control, and now for the Evo 4/5/6, you can have anti-lag with the launch control.

Usually all that is needed to gain more power from your Evo, is a walbro fuel pump being fitted, and some kind of boost controller (electronic or mechanical),so that the boost can be increased and controlled accurately. Other mods such as air filters, and exhausts (with decat pipes) also make very good gains and are advisable to be fitted before you have your car remapped.

As El mentioned I can travel to map your cars, however I do try to limit this as much as possible, as finding the right roads to map a car correctly and safely, can be difficult.

If your looking for a remap, then contact either myself, Jamie or sponners and I am sure 1 of us can breath some more life into your pride and joy.

1 last point the note, is that after you have changed something on your car, i.e changed exhaust, airbox / filter, injectors, dump valve, intercooler etc, it is always advisable to have your car checked to make sure it isn't running too lean or too rich, and isn't picking up too much knock as these are things that can very quickly kill an engine.

Good job El!

I can vouch for both the above guys to give you great results out of mapping the standard ecu!.......and guarantee you'll be grinning like the proverbial cheshire cat for a long time!

(not long come back from mapping a mates 6 with cams and a S205 - and I swear he was dribbling from smiling soo much)

and to reiterate what Russ has said, if any evo owners out there are just changing small components such as exhaust, intercoolers, boost controllers, induction kits (especially induction kits) etc then give them (or me) a shout and we can check the running/safety of your engine by checking the fueling and detonation.

:D

Basically with Ecutek you pay for a licence and the software is not as good as Ecuflash so avoid that ;)

With Ecuflash you can have many options on the stock ecu and it will be cheaper where are you located ?

No its not true but you dont want to go driving it hard with the cat on if it was mapped with a decat

I think that there is no fixed rate, you will no doubt be receiving PM's some time soon from the 3 musketeers:D or should I say mapperteers:confused:

I am sure Jamie has a Trade Ad Thread with an offer on mapping posted here somewhere.

I will PM you the link in a while, hopefully!

I have an evo 8 fq330 on a 53 reg. My first evo! I am looking to unleash somemore power. Can anyone here advise on where to start? If any of you offer a remapping service I would be most greatfull to hear from you with costs and advice for any other mods etc. Would like to achieve around 450 bhp or there abouts if possible? At present it has the hks hardpipe kit with filter and super dragger exhaust etc.
