hi guys... my mechanic just forwarded me these photos. taken when he was installing my exhaust manifold. it's a photo of the turbo serial code or model number. anybody can "translate" this coding for me please? thanks!

It's a standard TD05 turbo as fitted on evos 4 to 9 with a 10.5 hotside good for 400 bhp

thanks mate! wow... 400hp? so what do you reckon is the safest boost pressure setting will be to get the most out of this turbo?im assuming a 255lph fuel pump will be needed then. im currently using 1.3bar for everyday use. and 1.5bar for some thrill seeking at midnight.

On a 9 you can safely boost to 1.8 I have had mine boosting to 2 bar and holding 1.9... Have fun

hi boost 1.5 bar - 363hp

even before i knew the actual hp of the car, i was quite surprised how easy it could reach the 260kph mark (twice). one incident involved a lexus sc430 (Z40),i was curious on how a 4.3 V8 lexus would compare with a 2.0 mivec turbo. he started off in front of me(single lane).... the rest is history... his headlights were never to be seen again.

hello guys and gals...

right now im waiting for the drive belt tensioner... she makes a rattling noise especially when you engage the clutch and when you're balancing the clutch on an uphill slope. the noise comes directly from in front of the driver. she has to rest for a while now...cant wait till she's up and running again!
