s2000...yeah agree with you about the 50hp more bit. its a very fun car to cruise in.really love it when the exhaust note changes at the Vtec point, really makes you push her to the sweet 9000rpm redline. a bit too tail happy for me, gotta really be ready to counter steer gently...maybe it's my friend's aftermarket suspensions.

i wont complain about practicality side of things. but if it came with 280ps/35kg torque from factory,in a 2 litre engine (knowing honda,i know they can make it happen if they want it to),price tag would be insane i suppose :hm:

Sideways all the way :) Yeah they are fun indeed. I have one with 18s on it but the tyres are a little wide for it and is dropped. When you go over a bumpy road at speed it catches! Need the arches rolling truthfully and a set of thinner tyres on the front.

With 16s (standard) they can be a right handfull..My other is standard and a lot more fun to drive :awesome:

yesterday midday, i was having lunch with my friends, they all drive cool Hondas (DC5 type r,EG6 civic and the S2000 i mentioned). one of them wants to settle down and was looking for a four door sports car. he was really into the FD2 type r, but i said there's an Evo9 GT (previous owner is a friend as well) for less than the price of the Type R for sale just across from where i live..........

Straight to the point, i convinced him to sell off his DC5 type R and buy the yellow Evo9 GT.just waiting for all the final paperwork to be done.

this friend of mine has been driving hondas all his petrolhead life. from EG6,DC2,DC2 + H22 then the DC5 R. i would like to see his review on the Evo when he get a feel of it.

unfortunately it's not a genuine GTR dude.... i can't afford one. not allowed into the country anymore, unless it is only within 3 years after it's first registration. there's only about 5 R32 GTR,10 R33 GTR and the 1 and only R34 GTR here at home. and the owners seriously dont wanna sell any of em (i'd do the same if i were in their shoes). but anyways... here's a pic of my ride as promised... my gts26tt. running an R32 GTR 4wd system :hm:

a quick update on the Evo... just found out that the boost solenoid had been taken out by the previous owner. so right now,i know the car is running at 0.7bar of boost and rich too, after looking at the dyno results. here's a photo of the dyno run, i wasn't too disappointed... just neutrally glad to know.

but now the car's in the garage now, things to be installed :

HKS EVC (1.3/1.5bar)
HKS exhaust manifold
HPI turbo outlet and front pipe
and of course.... ECU reflash.

hoping for around 350hp @1.5bar.

hope my ride will be done after my 2day trip to perth tomorrow... and then another dyno run with my buddies on the 28th!

quick update for fellow evo owners. the mods are in. and she's been road tuned. and my god, what a transformation!! seriously, aggressively responsive...

driving impression is that, im constantly on the lookout for the revs. in the first 4 gears, after 3000rpms, all i can do is look out to the road briefly and back at the revs and shift up. im very very happy with the way she delivers the power in low or high boost settings. gonna enjoy this as much as i can before i order the poncams.

here's a refresher on the engine power mods list already installed:
D1 fuel regulator + braided fuel lines
HKS EVC4 (1.3/1.5bar)
HKS super power flow air intake (to be replaced by blitz carbon suction kit)
HKS stainless exhaust manifold
HPI turbo outlet
HPI front pipe
Autobahn88 decat pipe
aftermarket exhaust system (kakimoto?)

dyno shootout with my buddies on the 28th :)
