Battery Relocation

Hi All,

I've been looking at having my battery relocated so i can have a "pure cold air zone" for my induction kit to sit in....

Trouble is, there's lots of cheap kits out there that are way over priced for what they actually consist of... A bit of metal and a few bits and bobs...

Question is, could i re-locate it myself " I know a good Fabricator" who could possibly carry out the work... How difficult would it be...????

Lastly, am looking for a new re-circ DV, what is the best available and what would other members suggest....

I'm currently running an Evo 6 with 370bhp - Re-map due mid March going upto around 405-410bhp....

All ideas and suggestions welcome.

Thanks
Steve

If you know a good faricator then I suggest you go for it buddy.

As for the Dump Valve, Lee is right but personally I prefer the dedicated recirculating valves by Forge.

Keep us posted on how you get on buddy.

Generally, it is relocated to the boot.

Why not go for the HKS Racing Suction kit and make some modificaions to allow for more air flow???

If it is done correctly, there is no need to relocate anything.

I'm having mine re located to the boot next month. I did have an AMS race battery due the AMS hardpipes but it's too small for my needs.

i thought batterys were mainly re-located so as to fit a bigger battery instaed of the nissan micra batterys we all have

surprises me how the car runs with such a tiny sodding battery and whats the girly horn all about

you pull up in a monster rally car and then u hit the horn and get a girly noise wtf?

Why relocate to boat when it's a 5 minute job to move it a few inches.
And I've never had any starting problems over last 2 years !!

Touch wood

Nice engine bay tan, certainly some goddies in there :):)

I must say, I have to agree with Lee on the engine bay Tan!!!

Also, relocating the battery to make just enough room for the filter is the best thing to do really! ;)

I do not quite see the point of sending it all the way to the boot in some cases as it does not make much more difference on the breathing capabilities of the Filter.

As for the RS Pipe rubbing against the Radiator, that only occurs when it has not been lined up correctly or when the bracket is missing from the section that is supposed to be secured to the body.
