hi folks, names kev and live in fife.
I am looking at buying an evo 4 in the next few weeks so just thought i would come on here and ask a couple of questions to make sure i get the right one etc.
Currently got a Clio 172 which is sitting at 190ish bhp so quite a big jump up to an evo but nothing i cant handle. I have had an mr2 turbo so already know the ins and outs of the jap world, or atleast i think i do.
If i am quite honest evo's have never appealed to me but then neither did the clio i got so wouldnt mind trying one out. decided i want a 4 as i like the look of them more than the others.
Just a few questions on them though, I have done a bit reading so know what to look for. I know they use the TD05 turbo, what sort of boost can these handle safely? obviously i would need an ebc and something to alter the fuel cut. Would i need to make any other mods? I would be happy with it at 350fwhp. is this easy to achieve without running the risk of damaging anything?
Where do you get parts from for the evo's for the likes of servicing and is there anything i should look out for when tuning them? air/fuel ratio, knock etc?
any info will be much appreciated and i cant wait to get my hands on one
cheers, kev
