Does anybody know how much im looking at to get a gearbox rebuilt? I know it depends whats up with it just after a rough figure........and can you buy inner cv joints for my evo 8? Thanks

What's wrong with your gearbox? Change the oil first to some millers or Motul
The 6 speeds are common for tightness etc...

You have to buy full shaft mate

I just checked camskill and complete shafts are over £600 :shock:

whats the issue with yours cos ive never heard of the inner cv giving problems

When i took the coilys off i removed both front shocks and both front hubs just dropped and inner cv's came out of their socket....so i put it back in but since then it been knocking when turning, i think one of the bearing thing has came off and with it being driven on i can see it being fooked. And as for the box (5 speed).....well its making some horrible noises and its just had a gearbox oil change, its ok when the power is on fully or off but when you let go it makes a metalic sound, it does it when your just cruising mainly in higher gears (4th 5th)...it sounds to me like theres

Had a good search online and it looks like its my transfer box making the noise not my gearbox.....just had a quick look to see how much one is!!! Ohhh nooooo.....anyone have any ideas where i can get one rebuilt or buy a good second hand one?? Thanks
