Evo 5 idling problems

Right idling problems on my evo now up and down idling and then cuts out tryed a airflow meter that didnt cure it any other ideas ? No fault codes brought up thanks andy

Also when i unplug airflow meter runs like a dream

First place is all vacuum pipes and wiring

.Try cleaning the small element in the MAF CAREFULLY with some panel wipe on the end of a cotton bud,
.Or a faulty cam postion sensor??
.Leaving DV/vac/boost pipes

or

I think im right in saying the idle control valve is under the inlet mani and sometimes gets clogged up, and can cause mad idling??? could be wrong i guess its worth a try thou.

That is a standard sign that the maf is knackered mate, start there Ie source a new or working one. Did you mean you tried a. New one already?

Don't go on boost when it's unplugged

Airflow meter fine i had clutch done and i think one of boost pipes was connected wrong i wanna know how they all go as i also have a gizmo 3 port solenoid i got it running fine again by swopping pipes over but not sure if they are correct and want too check this thanks

Whats gauze filter fitting where does boost pipe go off top of inlet also thanks and whats the silver thing called by inlet mushroom shape does a boost pipe need too be connected too that the pic where i am holding the pipe i connected that too inlet its hard too explain sorry
