Evo 4 cutting out

was driving along today an just on boost heard like a whistle then started to struggle with power, cut out, started again an blipped the throttle an sounded like it was off a cylinder, tried to drive on to pull in an stop, stalled just as i got into a wee road
checked all top pipes that i could see an all was ok

only thing i done was change the black rubber pipe that connects the inlet manifold to the dump valve, changed it for a new blue one, same shape an size?

any idea's

Boost pipe somewhere. Need to check from turbo to TB

yeah turbo to throttle body and all the other things iv told you mate.

got the car home, all pipes look good

sounding off a cylinder an black smoke when revved to keep it going

any idea's?

Check spark plugs?

have them out, tips are black, rang a motorfactors, asked for a part number but mine say japan on them? Denso Japan

these wouldn be the ones in her from japan? cars been here from 2007

was they all connected, have you checked o see if there sparking .... and yeah more than likely if there aint any English on them, get some NGK Iriduim plugs

yea they were all good, should i put 3 back in, set 1 on the rocker cover an put the lead close an see what its doin while turnin it over? then do it with the rest an see i 1's at fault?

Yeah thats the one mate.

Sounds like either the boost pipe to actuator,or a split pipe to the dump valve may be intercooler pipes,doesn't sound much more than that.New spark plugs won't go a miss though. I know you said you'd change one but those blue hoses sometimes arnt the best.

yea i was thinkin of putting the old one goin to the DV back on again to see if that makes any difference

fella's, stuck my hand down the rear of the inlet manifold, driver side an feel a lot of air when being revved

are these common to crack?
