Sounds good! Did you do it in stages or std to 500+? Only going for 400 with mine, should be enough in a 4. :)

I was running 350/350 first then went to 487/480 then 566/531 with a different turbo so the car is totally different

I have been without my 6 for almost a month now, balance belt snapped and unsure of exactly what damage has been done internally so now waiting for my Dad to get back from Hong Kong, hes a mechanic so no labour charges for me :)
I must admit i feel lost without my Evo!

Get a ratchet on crank pulley and turn the engine over by hand for starters. Drain your oil and check for swarf, check your timing marks on timing belt, if timing marks are cool and engine turns over I would say you have had a lucky escape, as the prob with balance belts going is that they take the timing belt out when they go usually but not always,

My car is at my friends garage ( hes checking it for free for me :D ) and he tried manual turnover but there was no compression. Timing belt was solid with no play so he thinks parts of the balance belt caused the timing belt to skip a couple of teeth which led to the inevitable.
He checked the pistons with a camera and there were no scores or marks but obviously you cant be fully sure until you check them properly. I'm hoping its just bent the valves.
I'm just waiting for him to confirm our suspicions but obviously he has a business to run so he has paying customers he needs to attend to which is understandable.
