Left the gear box/clutch for a mo while i ponder my next move with the effing thing so decided to rub down the front inner arches and underseal them, coming along nicely :)

So onto todays progress and the effing flywheel bolts, managed to undo 4 out of the 7 so getting there, the other 4 the heads have started to round due to the fact they are loctited in and havnt had the flywheel off since it rolled out of the factory so the heat build up has welded the gits on, going to try an air gun on them with pressure applied see how that goes....

Degreased the engine bay and fire wall aswell and under sealed more of the floor plus the ARB then restored the North to South main engine brace bar

Also tried a sneeky rim on

sexual

A nice HKS oil cap to round things off

Success at last, fired her up today after finishing putting it all back together, clutch engages gears correctly, new rad got up to temp with fan kicking in as should and no oils/water loss so getting there now.

Need to sort an MOT and tax in the week plus get my new rims on the car which requires the tryes swopping over, shall be on the move soon enough though which is such a relief after the grief its caused me!

Anyway a pic of the alloy rad and strut brace fitted

Back on all fours but gagging for a detailing now!

As the sun was shining on Sunday thought id do some more bit to the Evo, got under neather her and paint the sump as the paint had flaked a little, also did the rad brackets as these are prone to rusting and looking shite in a nice engine bay, little bits help i reckon.

Also tried a rim on the front as i needed a hub centric spacer due to the Brembo's, tyre swop and MOT next wkend.

New number plate and new decal spirit of competition

MOT time yesterday and wheel swop so got up early and headed down to Eastbourne where my mate works for Kwik fit, had the tracking laser aligned due to fitting two new tie rod ends so shes spot on now.

Time to swop the the rims over....

Sitting on the ramp awaiting further inspection....

Clean bill of health was given so very pleased with that, slight play in a rear lower control arm bush so will address this at some point.

A few back at mine with the news alloys on, very very happy with them!

Next up new FMIC with hard pipe kit, new brakes all round, Re-map with pops and bangs and prob some more carbon haha

Had some time Sunday to finally clean the Evo after some neglect while doing the gear box, ideally want to clay it ect but for a wash and quick polish she came up nice.

Want to adjust the rear suspension at some point, raise it a little..
