Thanks Spent all of of today building the engine back up. Just need my Turbo now which i get on tuesday/wednesday as bougth another 80 series turbo and put a 20g compressor wheel in it with fully forged internals, ported and knife edge the compressor wheels Then my evo is finished and back on the road

you used a miller to skim the head,cant you surface grind it

I always use a miller for skimming and cant be set at what you want for the finish. I use this for heads and same for decking blocks.

The majority of all engine builders will resurface a head using a mill. A mill will give a proper and accurate head resurface with the desired finish you wan to achieve. This head has a super smooth mirror finish as was resurfaced at 1 inch a minute and heads are usually resurfaced between 4-7 inch a minute. I did not use a cometic head gasket as these require a ground surface so i used a cosworth head gasket which is also made by cometic like so many head gaskets on the market for sale and the same as ACL bearings which also make the bearings for cosworth. A name of a product does not always mean it is better just because it costs more.

Clutch Fitted Today And Gearbox

Clutch got fitted today abd the gearbox as was busy doing other things. Will get Turbo fitted on Thursday and engine, gearbox and transfer box fitted on Thursday also.

My Turbo has had need Forged Garret Internals, Shaft, Ported, Tweaked, Forge 1.7 Bar Actuator, Wheel Knife Edged, Wastegate Flap Modifed and 20G Compressor Wheel Fitted & Knife Edged. !0.5 Hot Plate Fitted And Milled. Now Rated For 450-500 BHP.

The last i had the engine out was last July when doing the forged build, Engine bay is a lot tidier looking now and will get some photos up of it finished, working on some cosmetic touches now to the engine and have not gt the evo back on the road yet as noticed the rubbers on the prop shaft hangers are torn so have these ordered new and also a ball joint is needed so when these come i will have the evo back on the road and away for a MOT. Running a Cliftons Race 4 Branch mani and its the same as a CTEC mani. Turbo would need to flow some air now and would still rather have your AP Green
