Well got my car back today from MG Autos after mapping and wooooooowwww what a fantastic job Matt and Dave did so much power it felt fantastic until i popped round my best mates took him out was brilliant he's been in fast cars but mine was unbelivable which i agreed any way on the way back to his after showing him the POWER OF THE EVO a L driver got in the way so i overtook them and POP i though oh bugger a intercooler pipe has come off any way limped back to his house and listened heard rattle rattle :( whipped the intake pipe off to find the turdoo had sh*t itself litterally........ So 1 recovery later and strip down to find the second hand turbo technics s204 is absolutly foobarred,Im gutted to say the least was great for them 30 or so miles but Matt did say it was a little tired but i hoped it to last till xmas. I have taken off the intercooler which has caught all the big bits have and small (will require a new one) removed all pipe work and cleaned them out looked in the intake plenum cant see any metal or bits in there and engine still runs no noise so hopefully i aint killed that also????? Heres some pics for you too enjoy :( turdo pictures by daveslate - Photobucket

Was running 1.4 bar, second hand turbos wont do that again!!!! Had a borescope in there today theres been something in cylinder one but it has gone just a few pit marks right at the top of the bore above the rings phewwwwwww... Removed the inlet cleaned it out and checked all valves found on one again some debris so removed it and hopefully i have found it all now requires a new intercooler as full of metal and turbo just gotta start saving as skint lol......

That really did kill itself, fingers crossed the cooler caught all the bits..Had a brief moment to enjoy the power thought mate

Not the first time I have heard of a second hand to popping, I made the same mistake on my old gt4 luckly mine just flew the oil seal exhaust side while mapping.. Went back for rebuild as was a bb job and ran faultless.
