Having ran this suspension on my car for over a year and in doing so the car managing 2 class wins, a 3rd place, a DNF and a 5 place i can safely say that the set up is simply amazing. Having previously owned and ran on my evos, Ohlins, AST 3 ways, BC Rm and racing, Tein Monoflex etc i would say that im fairly qualified to say that in my opinion they beat them all hand sdown.

I have often found high end suspension simply to harsh or to complicated. The Sachs Race Engineering suspension is amazingly like stock to drive and a very comfortable drive, take it on track though and it turns into an animal. I wont babble on to much about how good i believe it to be, its needs to be out there and in use for you to see for yourself.

The Technical Jargon

Upside-down, monotube coilover suspension systems from ZF Sachs Race Engineering offer racing quality components for the road.

Greater ground clearance is needed in winter, while in summer and also for track use, it makes sense to lower the vehicle by 40 – 60mm. In order to ensure sufficient spring path for these two different applications, special coilover suspensions were developed that allow the vehicle to be tuned for the respective operating mode. These coilover suspensions are as superbly suited for tough snow and ice conditions as they are for trackday and circuit use. The Sachs Performance coilover suspension features 2 adjustment parameters, so rebound and compression damping can e varied via a dial with 20 clicks. Damper characteristics can thus be simply and conveniently adjusted to meet individual requirements without dismantling the car’s wheel-end system.

The 20 stage adjustable damping allows drivers to adapt their suspension systems to specific driving surfaces, tyres and tyre pressures. This adjustment is achieved using a bypass on the piston for both rebound and compression.

Sachs Performance suspension kits are sold as complete boxed units and comprise the following:

2 x upside down front-axle monotube dampers with height and performance adjustment
2 x front-axle springs
2 x upside down rear-axle monotube dampers with height and performance adjustment
2 x rear-axle springs
Pillowball top mounts
TÜV certification

Sachs Performance suspension systems offer many advantages over the competition in terms of operation and build quality:

Operation

Adjustable rebound and compression forces via a bypass on the piston
Adjustment unit with precise gradation
Suspension struts with an upside down design
Continuously variable height adjustment within the range authorised by the TÜV
Height adjustment with trapezoidal threading for a long service life (very dirt resistant)
Optimised compression stops
Complete, ready to install solution
Quality
Optimised, high quality friction bearings and seals
High-grade, high-strength racing springs
OE-tested seal and friction bearing systems
OE-tested piston systems
Hardened, chromium-plated piston rods
High-grade corrosion protection
Advantages
Rapid responsiveness
Broad adjustment range
Light weight
Superb handling and ride quality
Rapid assembly
Low-cost installation

All Sachs Performance suspension systems are extensively tested on the Nürburgring by Sachs’ highly qualified and experienced development engineers.

The Price

£1700

As you will see these are in the middle of the price range, certainly cheaper than your Ohlins and Nitron and far superior to the likes of Tein/BC/HSD

I am so confident of this set up i will offer the first 2 sets at 10% discount:coolsm: Please feel free to ask any questions

ive not been on here for a while with moving into new premises, kids, wife, money......

anyway just a liitle update on the suspension, i have used this on my car this year and raced in the MLRSS sprints series in Class C, its safe to say its supported such a transformation inmy little sprint car is unreal

Castle Combe sprint

suspension proved to be absolutely bang on at the weekend again, never managed to get a result on the afternoon as had a belt come off the dry sump and had to retire, car was on the money from lap 1 though and suspension was never touched or adjusted all morning, just a little adjustment to front tyre pressure after first last.

cant put into words how much this has transformed the car

Kames Sprint

i won this and was wining with the times in my class from morning until finish lap, no understeer, no oversteer, just absolutely perfect

some feedback from a customer i loaned my suspension to for a sprint at Hethel (Lotus test track) as i couldnt compete

Thought I would post up my real time experience of the Sachs suspension to give potential buyers an idea how they perform.

I put up a wanted thread for high end suspension and got a reply from Martin who very kindly offered me a loan of his Sachs off his sprint car, which is in getting some engine work. Martin knew they would be fitted to my track car which is also used to drive to and from tracks all over the country.

I decided to accept his offer, martin sent them out in jig time and I set about fitting them straight away. Once fitted I then got the car set up by a rally specialist. After a whole day I got the call to collect the car.

Wasn't sure what to expect but when I drove away the feel of the car was awesome. After a few miles once the tyres had warmed up,I decided to throw it in to some corners. Wow...it was so planted that the journey home took a wee bit longer than normal. Now couldn't wait to get on track.

Left the next day for the 400 mile trip to Hethel. We practically went over every road surface imaginable, the Sachs were simply awesome. No knocks, bangs or any other noise. The car soaked up the roads unbelievably well,in fact it was so much better than the standard suspension and a million times better than any Teins or similar coilovers I've owned in the past. Absolutely loving them.

Thinking how good they were on the road I thought their must be a compromise on track. I had no need to worry. Again on track they were simply immense. The car was totally planted on the bends and after some tweaks to the dampening it got even better. Using V box data the car was pulling 1.3g at the corners, impressive stuff. The car was also being dual driven and the other driver done extremely well only 1.7 seconds off the winning time even though we had boost issues and the car missed most of the practise sessions.

In summary the Sachs coped brilliantly on the road and were even better on track, having done 800 miles round trip and a sprint I feel I can give a good opinion on how they are. In fact I'm so impressed with them I don't want to give them back.

Massive thanks to the team at EPP.

ive already said this but dont be brainwashed into buying a named set of suspension at lots more money, these work and are better that there more expensive competitors
