Yorkshire Evo Newbie

Hi all, just bought my first evo iv today, pretty impressed with its performance and got it at a good price couple of issues, is a burning smell from the engine normal, its not a strong smell, but a faint whiff... and occasionally at high revs the car (turbo / fueling ?) stutters, anything to worry about. apologies if in the wrong place will put my mind at rest a bit as totally unfamiliar with the evo :blush:
