Good Morning boys and girls

After 2 weeks of ownership of the Evo 9 FQ 340 i have caved in. i am looking to have some modifications carried out to push the power to around 400 BHP

I have been in contact with Xtreme UK and i have been told i can achieve around that figure if not more for around £1300

This would include: uprated fuel pump, boost controller, de-cat pipe, HKS induction kitand an Ecutek remap. they uprate (for safety) things like spark plugs and conrods to keep it as reliable as possible which is what i want, i think power is pointless without reliability.

What do you guys think to this price? are Xtreme Uk a good company (they seem so) or should i be looking elsewhere to have this done? i dont mind travelling for that peace of mind either.

Comments / advice would be greatly appreciated. i am a complete newbie to this scene so please don't tear me a new ar5ehole

No need for all that mate.
Fuel pump,decat and a remap should get you near 400 on a 9.
Forgot you would need a 3 polnt boost solenoid as well.

In the 340 the components as far as I'm aware will take 400 fine without updating but to be fair if they gonna do all that work and replace those components too I wouldn't argue with that price you will have to take it very easy until all the engine is bedded in though so can't go hooning it straight away like just doing the stage 1 mods

Geof i am based in Nottingham, with regards to who maps the cars i dont know, i just know they they used Ecutek and did it all in house apparently, they said that they would need my car for around two days to do the work

hi, look at zen performance in wellingborough, my 9 340 was mapped to 393bhp, with just a 255 pump and mac three port boost solenoid, and that was with the cat on.

my friend has a 9 360 that has been mapped by xtreme with a downpipe and decat, and our cars are exactly level in performance, however his runs alot richer than mine kicking out a bit of black smoke on boost and using more fuel.

It should kick out a bit of black smoke, they need to run rich on WOT. If you're in Notts, talk to Nick and NR Autosports in Lincoln, the guy is a genius with Evo's and has created some amazing machines.

In answer to your question the work on my car was done at xtreme. Previous owner had it all done. My last service was done there and I had no probs.
