That kinda power going to the rear wheels would not be too bad for a bit of messing

they use xds on most the new fwd cars.... it is electronic and basically brakes lightly on the inside wheel when cornering, stopping it spinning and reduces understeer. although then you get alot of tramping when putting your foot down in the first 2 gears!!

why do they bother? surely if the rs focus was 4 wheel drive there would be a much greater demand for it

the old school 4wd sierras and escos were iconic whos gonna remember a fwd toy??

well ford are bringing out some sort of conversion kit for their cars which includes something from the new kuga to make them 4wd!! Ill try and get more info about it tomorrow from the guy at work who is getting it.

toy ??:awesome: 2wd fords are old school admittedly they were rwd to begin with.......the 4wd didnt come till lot later !!
rs1600i and series 1 rs turbos are already icons and the series 2 are slowly getting there.....cant be said about the 4

Funnily enough, when Ford was developing the new RS, I'm sure they asked owners what they wanted and the number 1 thing everyone asked for was 4WD, but they made it FWD because making it 4WD would have been too expensive.

However, surely they could have ofloaded the expense onto the price of the car. They are £25k new right?! Well make it 4WD and bump the price up to £28-£30k, the price of a new Evo X FQ-300.

Should be a right machine. Went in mates 2008 rs6 other day. That was quick but bit big (estate). Have driven rs4, they do 160 for fun and get there v quick too

My bro was in rs4 against a 4 and a 9, both with antilag and hi on hp and they both dusted him! Lol With rs4, you gotta drop them back in first if at v low speed!! The 9 and the 4 came from behind him and he left it in 2nd so didn't really get to catch them. If you lined them up together, the rs4 would defo win.

My mate dusted another mates old shape rs4 in his 7 on a couple of occasions.
