Hi. I was wondering if my fq340 will need a new fuel pump before remap? I read that the fq360 comes with an uprated pump and I was wondering if my 340 does?

Thanks.

Cool, thanks. Also I've done the airbox mod, is there a decent intake pipe that will go inline with that? Also I've been told I'll need a boost controller. Any recommendations?

Thanks

Ok, I've just done a bit of googling and what a boost controller does makes sense. Once you start modding and mapping the boost could get a bit erratic so a boost controller helps keep it constant. That makes sense. I really doubt I'm ever going to track my Evo but do take the car out for a good thrash, so do you think a solenoid is enough or I should go all the way and get a proper EBC? I don't like to take shortcuts but I'm not made of money so wouldn't want to buy an unnecessarily complex bit of kit.

Thanks

I'm going to got gauges so I can see what's going on, but I can't see me ever adjusting the boost. When I get it mapped the tuner will set up the boost as well as the AFR won't he and there will be no reason for me to fiddle with it?

To be honest because I'm doing so few mods before remap meaning my budget isn't so tight, I think id rather go with something like the grimmspeed just was recommended by other people, for peace of mind. Plus the Grimm is plug and play which sounds a bit better than splicing tbh

Depening on what you want from a boost controller, if money is tight then you could also look at a dawes device or similar. cheap reliable and easy to fit.

Tbh mate I'm probably gonna go with a grimmspeed EBC if I can get one for a decent price in the UK, and if not the people who are going to map my car sell EBC's they fit on the day. Cheers tho
