Why Mitsubishi Lancer Evo discontinued?

[AlexHoffman]

Hello Mitsubishi car lovers,
I love cars very much, always love to learn about cars, car brands. When learning about Mitsubishi, I pay special attention to the Lancer Evo line. I find this to be a beautifully designed car with a pretty powerful engine. However, why did Mitsubishi stop producing this model? Can anyone give me the answer please?
Thank you very much.

2 main reasons. 1st was the new (at the time) CEO was literally ONLY interested in electric cars (much to the chagrin of most other Mitsubishi staff, especially the engineering dept).
2nd reason was direct interference by Nissan.
