Too retro for you? Personally off all the pre 1980s my fav is the Escort RS1800. that Single light slat front end look is awesome.

nah not so much that as i cant think for the life of me why they demand so much money:disgusted: for the cost of a mk1 or 2 u can have an esc cos and i know which id rather have

You wouldn't believe that the Escort is the most succesful rally car in the world.
Now Rally is nothing, the regulations these days are stupid.

To be honest im proud to be part of the Escort scene. I even have to admit i prefer my RS over the Evo.

Agree with you RS200 and RS500 are the best, But still got my heart set on an Escos.

thats the way all RS's are going these days, the Escort RS Turbo S1 is going up stupidly high now. Think i'll leave my S2 in the garage and pray it goes the same way.

Did have around £4,500 saved for one then thought i need something more reliable than the S2 so brought the evo. dont regret it either. One day my dream will come true.

Lovin the old skool fords mate, had a few myself. Black series two D plate 90 spec which I had around 1999 also had a mk1 fiesta. £20 with 2 months tax and mot, best fun we ever had. It was pictured in max power at a Weston cruise night then we cut the roof off and ran it around for a bit then it was scrapped, seems wrong now.

Then couple cheap XR2's early 2000 and a couple XR3i's and a B reg cabrolet. Oh then 2004-2007 I done a full resto on a series one. Spent 8k in one year restoring it. New paint, painted underside and engine bay. Eveything was replaced, bushes bearing, joints, brakes then had engine built with low comp pistons piper cam ported head, lightened flywheel, stage 3 hybrid turbo, ali rad and ali big front mount cooler. Then sold it for £3.5k
