whistle 3000 revs on

just put engine in and at 3000 revs it wistles and goes louder as revs go up
could it be to pipes on actuater. do not want to do anything case it makes it worse thanks

boost leaking possibly if its a whistling. a whining would be turbo or pulley

yes it is a whistle could it be pipes wrong way round cus i have just put engine in

sounds like a boost leak... i had a small hole in mine and it whistled... just annoying more than anything!!

Need to do a leak test by putting system under pressure without the engine running ...

hi i have just checked were the whisle is it sounds like it is comming from the terbo but can not be sure:hm:

Might be a turbo pipe possibly not put on tight had to do it on my Subaru once as it was on the pipe but loose.

woopi i done turbo working fine pipe coming off turbo downe to the inter cooler had been knocked before i bought the engine i sor the dent straghted it with some pliyers but did not realise it had dis loged the gasket at the turbo very slight so i sprayed every joint with soapy water and looked for bubbles right befor my eyes i found the little pig and now it runs so much smoother its brillback on the road with my baby:wub::wub:
