Whirring,whining noise on E7

Hi all

Noticed a whirring,whining noise when i took the mrs evo to work last night. When i got out the car to open the gate i could hear it as the engine was running and it gets louder with revs.
Couldn't see anything as it was dark but sounds maybe like an alternator noise. Noticed a few people may have similar problems but couldn't find an answer :sad:

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
