whining/whirring sound

I suspect it's the power steering pump, mine makes a noise since I fitted my spec-r tank

i think most 9's have that whining noise

My suspicions lie in that area mate but it comes and goes????

It didn't have the noise with just spec r tank but since the braided ps hose it's making a noise.

So this is a new noise and it's loud enough to notice it when it's there ?

I'm pretty sure its your pump now. Air is in the system and its been bled incorrectly or done with the car on the floor and not jacked in the air.

Simple way to make sure its not an auxiliary item whip the aux belt off and run it if the noise is still there with that off then worry

Mine sometimes makes whining noise just as I start it and reverse it off the drive I reckon something to do with the power steering belt or auxiliary belt???

That's been on weeks pal

I think the noise has gone due to ps pump change but it's got a long drive today so see how it copes !
