I've got the same size tyres on my 9 and seems ok, but sayin' that, mine isn't lowered. Could be because of the offset!

Shouldn't be too difficult. Personally I'd get someone to do is due to the panels being pretty light. You wouldn't want to get any dents on it

There is a solution!

Depending how good some engineering companies are around you, they can mill down the face to increase the offset, the issue you have is the wheel sticks out way too much for the rear arch, even if you went for a shallow tire - ie 255/35/18 you'd still rub, you need to bring the wheel back in.

Here's a few places

Heathrow Business Directory - Machining

The other extreme option is to try and roll your arches, but i'll advise you that its hit and miss whether its successful.

Take the wheels back cos clearly they sold you the wrong offset !

rolling the arches on any car older than 6 months may require paintwork afterwords.. id budget 80-150 pounds of "spot repair" to rectify the paint incase it cracks etc..
