whats the best way to get 400bhp and 400 talk

i have an evo 7 with hks intake, forged dump valve, hks exhaust with decat. other than that its standard, i have been told will run well with 400bhp and 400 talk with a cam change and re map. can anyone tell me if this is true? and what cams and re map i will need?. also do i have to remove the head to change the cams? or can you simply lift the engine up to do this?

Anything is possible with the right mods. But I'm not sure I'd want to take a VII engine to 400 without changing the rods first.

But with regards to cams then kelford 272's are what you need. These can be changed without removing the head as they are just under the rocker cover

Next you'll need a Evo IX 80 series turbo. Usually found on fq320 etc
Other turbos are availible from places like turbo technics etc

Intercooler from an Evo IX also or aftermarket go for an AMS or an APC

Also I'd probably bin the hks exhaust if it the super dragger in favour of a miltek or a blitz nur spec

And if you haven't already got it then a 3 port boost solenoid and walbro fuel pump


Oh and the other important key requirement.... A damn good mapper who knows what he is doing without killing your engine
