Well along long time ago (1991) my first car was a 1980 Mini 1000 City in Primrose yellow which i had for 2 years and then i bought a 1980 Land rover 2 1/4 petrol Lightweight which i then swapped for what got me into the performance car scene:whistling: This was a 1988 lancia delta 1.6 GTie in metallic black and my god at the age of 19 and coming out of a old land rover it felt bloody quick and most of my mates had MK3 escort and trying to make them look like XR3I's:blush:The rest is history as they say:whistling:After the GTie i up graded to the HF Turbo ie and then swapped that for a Fiat strada abarth and then traded that in for a Fiat uno turbo mk1 Then swapped that for a MK2 Golf Gti:blush:This lead to the next 20 years of buying some very strange but powerful(at time's ugly but i like to be different)

What was the car that started it all off for you:confused:

Here's a few sample pics of what started the ball rolling:razz:

My story is a lol less dramatic, I was always obsessed with bikes when I was younger but was given a choice of learning to drive for free (mum and step dad both ex driving instructors) or getting a bike and going it alone with car lessons bike lessons and getting a car, so it was a no brainer with the price of lessons.

First car was 1.0 micra twister :) brill lil car took everything g it grew at it got it brand new. When I started going to cruises there was 2 cars that stood out and I said one day I will have one of those and one of those and they were the civic type r ep3 and the evo 7/8 and well guess what, I got a ep3 had it for 3 years and bought the evo 8 :) I was a jap fan from the start (even the bikes I liked were jap) only had 4 cars all jap, micra, civic type s, type r, evo

Me to it was rapid but cost me a fortune, to much power for a 1.4 engine, while I had it head gasket went 3 times turbo once, intercooler once, also engine, put new engine in and got rid lol

The bug for cars has always been there from a young age getting all the toy cars and the magazines...I was a bit of a car guru by age of 7 ha.

My dad also always had fast cars but the one for me that I needed desperately to have was the Renault 5 gt turbo.
I had to wait a few years after my license to get one as insurance wasn't cheap. Then I got one...silver...gt turbo with 200hp. Absolutely mind blowing performance from a 1.4 tin can shell... Loved it used it all the time. Head gasket was only problem I had.
Then I left it and sold it to fund a megane sport....didn't really keep my interested for long so thought sod it and bought an evo and the same smiles I got from the r5 are even bigger....next car who knows...maybe a gtr but that seems like the normal follow on so I'll probably be different.

Lol after reading those lists mine sounds a lot less exciting haha

1) N reg 1995 fiesta 1.1 mrk 3 haha - had more value in the sound system than in the car itself lol and cudnt get any speed up cos if the weight in the boot haha
2) 57 plate 2.0 fiesta ST - my first new car and proceeded to spend about 5k on it lol really got my tuning bug going in that
And then finally...
3) 2005 Evo 8 260 - told myself that I wasn't going to do anything to it lol a week later had an MR spoiler and vortex generator fitted, a month later a Perrin intake, HKS SSQV BOV, magnecor ignition lead, HKS decat and silent high power exhaust system then just had DBA 4000 T3 front discs fitted and updated pads and now ordered a HKS evc 6 boost controller which shud be going in in a couple of weeks and then it's on to new anti roll bars and cool overs haha

The joys of tuning lol :)
