Bad news mate. I feel for you, lost my job about 18 months ago. On the upside i now have a job that i much prefer to what i was doing before, and i used my redundancy pay to buy my evo.

What sort of work are you looking for? Although it sounds like your willing to do pretty much anything which will help you alot.

Thanks Mate :) Unfortunately i will not be getting any redundancey money :( :(... If i was it wouldn't be so bad...

I am a contracts Manager / Co-Ordinator / Project Supervisor for the mains water supply industry... Have been for around 15 years now....

Am also qualified in UPVC window fitting, Patio laying, Stud Partitioning, Conservatories, Welding and brick and foundation laying.

Also a dab hand at anything i put my hands to.... Just willing to work and work hard to keep everything that i got.... (Even got a counter balance fork lift truck licence).

Just want to work, cant bear to sit at home n do nothing...!!!!

Jeremy Kyle is soul destroying....lol

With a cv like that you shouldn't have to much trouble. I fit windows too. Same company for 17 years. Mainly dealing in the commercial market. Shopfronts, curtain walling, atrium roofs etc but we are struggling. Industry is flat on its ass at the mo and nobody is spending or willing to hand over money. We have a couple contractors we done work for but they won't pay up. Seems they just don't wanna let it go.

It would be a bit of a commute to Luton but we are looking for a customer accounts manager. Basically a lot of on the phone to customers who haven't paid their accounts and when u can't get hold of em ur out on the road knocking the door and when needed collecting goods. Very diverse job pm me for more details if you want. Like I say it's a bit of a commute but money not too shabby

Thanks Mate :).

My Brother in law has worked for Deane & Amos window fitting for over 20 years and he's just been made redundant aswell :(... For the same reasons that their is not enough sustainable work to keep them going!! Me and him did the Curtain walling on enfield car auctions a few years back :)

I agree, it seems like the trades are slowly dying cos of this DAMNED Recession..... Things will get better, just gotta ride out the storm..
