what timing belt??

Just a quick one....im planning on getting my.evo 8 running around 400bhp, is a standard timing belt kit ok (gates) or would you get the dearer gates racing belt?? Or what do you guys suggest? Thanks

I have a gates kit on mine came from Ross sport / APT

Thanks bill....also does anyone have if the k&n oil filter? If so is the k&n logo just a sticker on a white filter or is it printed/molded on? Thanks

I use blue print filter on my 8 MR and I know APT use them and Ross sport sells them
You will find a a lot of people stick to OEM or blue print

It's not essential but you can do it doesn't have a oil supply from the engine so doesn't suffer with the same issues as most cars.

Ross at rossport did me a excellent deal on std gates kit delivered with a oil filter etc for under £100 must be christmas lol

Mine didn't have a balancer belt as I'm deleting my balancer shafts, i should think that would make it 100. Best off giving Ross a call to be honest.
