I have finally had the chance to have a really good look under the bonnet of my V and now realising that there are some things not quite right with it.......
1. What is missing from side of the engine in the location shown in the pic??

2. Why would the boost control valve have about 3 metres of vaccum tubing on it when it only goes in between the actuator??

3. The bolt that goes into the vacuum tubing on top of rocker cover......why would this be needed??

All help will go a long way to keep my ownership as happy as possible......

Sas?

Edit: sorry I thought it was a game

Secondary air system valve is missing from the side of the engine, controlled by the vac pipe thats blocked off with the bolt. (puts air into exhaust manifold)

Vac pipe goes from actuator to boost solenoid and turbo compressor housing, and also from boost solenoid to induction

Sas is missing as said, the vac pipe with the bolt in it would go to the valve but as its not there. Can block it off down the back of the head but what they have done is easier.

Also you shouldn't have too much vac pipe to the 3 port, trim it down lol

Thanks for your responses, is the SAS not necessary then?? Would it run better with it or not make any difference??

Personal choice. It's not required and sometimes doesn't work because its blocked.
It does aid in pops/bangs tho :D
