i thought the 7 onwards where uk car's? And or grey import's? Not saying they were made here but were made for here? I always thought to be an import it had to first be registered in Japan

Walk into a Mitsi dealer and they will also tell you all evos are imports

as far as i know 7 onwards had uk only versions but they are essentially a normal imported one that is taken to another part of the factory and fitted with uk spec parts, ie fq bits and rear fogs ect

No they were all imported as gsr's then taken to colt cars uk to be converted to FQ

6 onwards had official UK models imported by Ralliart/CCC. All the 'UK' work is done this side of the pond, not in Japan.

im sure i have come across this car back in jan when i was looking for a white evo 8/9 but was bit out of price range... it had just been imported back then, i remember the roof dvd player and double din stereo in it. looking at the engine pic though looks like somethings leaked on radiator looks like head gasket has gone but it could be cause pic is small
