what do i need?

I have managed to source a good 80 series turbo and wondered what was need to fit it to my 5? Would i need a 9 downpipe?

Simple bolt straight on mate as I done this on my mates 5. Think you might need to use the IX turbo water pipes.

You can use your existing downpipe just swap the turbo exhaust elbow onto it from your standard turbo and bobs your uncle

Best to just sit both turbos side by side on a bench and you can see what needs swapping.

You still using the standard rubber air intake pipe ? If so there is a reducer inside the end that fits on the turbo which you need to remove as the inlet on IX turbo is slightly bigger

ah ok then. at the moment i have the standard air intake but by the start of next month i should have alot of stuff changed that i wanted done for ages....

i got the 3 port solenoid from jonny
80 series tubby on the way
new wheels and tyres
walbro 255
decat
downpipe
maybe turbo elbow
and depending on any change i have left, some coilovers.
