Hi, I am the proud new owner of a lambo orange Evo 4, I have dealt with a few issues so far, Overboosting because the Wastegate diaphram was fecked but basically the car is a bit of a UK virgin having only covered 6K since imported in 2008.

I now have evo 5 ecu, 7 red top injectors, 3" de cat, cat back, HKS panel air filter, iridium plugs and have just fitted the Walboro 255 fuel pump all good :D

3 miles and now the original clutch is slipping doh!

My goals are BPU++ around 1.5-.18 bar of boost (Yes i know about crank walk and have a spare evo 7 engine too!)

I have seen the exedy stage 1 organic clutches on ebay for around £230 but have been told they will not hold any more than 20% more than stock torque!

I dont want to run a paddle clutch as past experience of these gave me a all or nothing bite! I DO expect a 35% ish increase in pedal feel due to an upgraded pressure plate, so i am guessing an uprated pressure plate and an organic full disc plate..Anyone have any clues/pointers and experience in the same ballpark as me please?

Also my best quote for labour (As i currently have a bad back and awaiting a knee op) is £300 inc fluids does that sound reasonable?

Thanks in advance hoping someone can help out so i can actually drive the beast :p

If you fit a later clutch from a 789 the diameter is 10mm bigger so will be an improvement, however you'll also need to upgrade the flywheel to a later one as well.

From what ive heard the exedy organic clutchs can hold to roughly 400/400 but I haven't experianced this yet so not 100% sure if it true, or how long it will last

A standard ish clutch will be fine for the power you want. Just don't launch it much. If you want to do much of that I'd say a twin plate is the best option.

I bit the bullet as i dont want to have to do this twice! I bought a competition Stage 2 organic inc new lightweight flywheel (Weighs 6kg, Stock is 12kg!!) I went for the bigger Upgrade kit, 20mm larger in diamater.

I probably will end up with more mods as i am an avid tuner ;-) Also reguarly at the drag strip, So the one i have gone for should be good for 580hp :)

Thanks for the replies it all helps make an informed decision.
