The AVC-R isn't value for money and is dated technology.

Apexi avcr that's what I got in my car and it's wicked but when I got my car mapped they only done it on one setting but before the map I was told he would put two maps on it just seemed like he couldn't be bothered. I mean he did a good map but why tell someone one thing and then not do it. He said o it doesn't matter the main thing is it's mapped nicely but before the map he promised me two settings on the boost controller which I gathered meant he would put two maps well pissed cause he didn't do it. The avc-r is overly complicated for casual use, there are better and easier systems now. The avc-r is a cult thing, like cozzys. It had a reputation in its hayday and people still think they're the best controller. I've fitted a HKS EVC6 to my GT and it holds the boost better, it's incredibly simple to use and you can set a boost alarm for it that if it over boosts it'll knock it down to a preset level, ie set for 2.2, if it over boosted past that due to denser air or a pipe leak it would set it back to 1.5 but you can change sensitivity. Great piece of kit.

i have the ms-ibc gizzmo fitted , simple enough to use and works a treat,, has 6 settings but i only use like 3 of them,, not that i even need 3, But im well enough happy,
