weird tyre wear= new front tyre's!

alright guys and girl's! Came out the doc's this morning and notice a had a o/s front puncher! Lucky i had a foot pump in the boot! Anyway pumped up and went straight to my mate at local tyre place to get it fixed, nice an easy with a 5 pound bill. But when the tyre was off we notice that the inside was worn badly even had a step in it! Re check the other front tyre the same, not even worth fixing! So had to order so good year f1 Gsd3's:awesome: for the front and will get some for the back very soon. But i don't want this to happen again. Will post photo's of tyre and last set up when i get home. Any info will help thanks

take it's not an early evo thing then? Only had it done in may when it was lowered! Will have to ring and find out the set up as the print out i have is a month before it was lowered. Cheers

Has to be alignment issues mate. Worth checking for any play in ball joints and bushes too though

Your Tyre pressures are too low (wear on inside and outside) and I would say you need you steering geometry checked, Toe and camber because it could be either. If you are lowered and dont have any camber adjustment or it hasnt been set then that could be your problem.

how much did the new tyres set you back mate? i had all 4 replaced the other day with Pirelli Rossa. Expensive but feel great!

it defo looks like a low pressure + alignment issue you have

on my e4 with e6 wheels i run 36 psi front 32psi rear , 205/45/17 " you run 215/40/17 ??

e4 standard 205/50/16 32f - 28r

as the tyre is a little narrow for the rim it tends to wear the edges first unless i run the pressuers this high .

e4 camber is not adjustable as far as i know , so you will need to get adjustable top mounts or as some people may have done is to mod the shock to hub top bolt hole " file it slightly to give you required movment "
