a full system is classed as a turboback system. thats all the way to the manifold.
but perhaps unecessary if you are going to keep cat or swap to sports cat as this will restrict the flow anyway.
so if i were you look for a cat back system. (that will include backbox and pipe going to the cat.) and then maybe get a sportscat? though it will still restrict power. but not as much as standard cat..

Cat back is no good cause it is restricted before it gonna get there. Bigger cat back pipe and box will only give noise.

A full system with sports cat is gonna give a lot more then standard down pipe and cat or standard down pipe and sports cat.

i thought sports cats were pretty restricted anyway? could be wrong and need educating.
just thought the standard downpipe would be enough if he keeps the cat...
and the cat back would be there purely to give him his noise

its me that needs educating - totally lost..

i will take the advice you lads give me... just want to know exactly what to get before I get ripped off and would like as much knowledge as possible..

the car is new so would prefer not to take cat off..but if its a waste of money doing it this way then i wont bother...

really i want noise, more power if I can and anything else you could suggest (minor) to give the car a bit more poke??

the cat is the main power restricter buddy, and a decat will cost you about £60 and give you much better flow (power) than you cat or sports cat that will cost you £200-£300 alone.. so depends how much you want the power.. if i were you i would just get a full turboback system (this will include a decat) more noise, more power

very easy, 4 bolts. find a garage that is willing to fit it for you before mot... or surely you must have a friend that is handy with a spanner
some people list there mods some don't... personaly i would just incase..
i go with modifed car insurance specialists..ie adrian flux/pace ward/keith micheals etc..
there is also sky insurance which is this sites own insurance trader.
