My E6 developed a bit of a squeak on the aux belt setup the other day, thought it was a bearing going dry so sprayer it up with a bit of spray grease just to limp it home and investigate. Got progressively worse on way home and then BANG and heard i bit of metal hit the floor. Got the car home, have removed to aux belt today to find a big chunk of the water pump pulley missing ( guessing that was the noise). Am going to order a new one, but how do you remove the old one??? i can see the 4 bolt holding it on but cant get at them. I've noticed and access hole in the wheel well but i doesn't line up, and I've also tried lowering the engine a bit by undoing the top drivers side mount but still cant seem to get them to line up. Any suggestions? all help much appreciated. Cheers nick

Normally you just access it from above with a 10mm spanner and just do small turns. Usually it's a lot easier with the belt on as it stops the pulley from rotating. Guess your gonna have to struggle with it now
