Wat cams ?

Right im thinking of getting some uprated cams but not sure what to use?

Looking for gains in torque not worried about power increases!



My spec is



2.0l forged long rod

Full arp engine stud and nut kit & rod bolts

Standard 5 gsr turbo( looking to change to the RS TD05HRA-16G6-10.5 before mapping though!)

Hks J pipe

Hks hard pipe kit

Pace Intercooler

Balance shaft eliminator kit

Tubular manifold

HPI 3" turbo elbow

3" f/pipe

3" decat

3" mid and rear

255 fuel pump

Hks mushroom filter

Ekutec remap



Currently 382/393

I'd probably go for some Kelford 264's if it's mainly used on the road.

Almost the same spec as my VI!

I have HKS 264 cams in mine mate and it does go well!

Cheers for the info chaps! Is it best to go 264 inlet/264 exhaust then? As said in original post torque is my goal, as i like the way the car drives with higher torque than bhp!

Hks 272's.. Provide good power and find that there isn't much low down lose.

Gsc s1 cams. 268 profile. mines a daily driver and still on standard springs and retainers. drives fine in traffic and when i need an extra bit for when it opens up and you need to overtake.

Ramp rate isn't as aggressive as some? Would recommend hks cams
