Want to buy a Evo 8 wats the best way to mod it

Hi every one I'm looking to buy a Evo 8 wat sort if thing can I change to get gud sennsible power I no fuel pump cooler plugs exhaust is there any need to upgrade the intercooler to a better one or is it capable of handeling the power wat about a better turbo elbo or is the standard one top notch this is the kind of stuff I would like to no I've looked for aftermarket intercoolers and that and to be fair I can't find any lol and who is the best Evo tuner in the Essex area guys thanks alot

Stage one is the filter, boost controller, gauges, exhaust, fuel pump and map and depending on what model 8 you get depends on what power you would get. Changing the ic is a good mod to get better combustion but usually they are good for around the 400 mark

How cums the fuel pump needs to be uprated is it exspensive to have done is it easy to change your self who in Essex is the best place to get it mapped

Different tuners across the country. Some people have their favourites and will travel.
Do a search for some local to you. Then see if anyone has had any experience with them.

Yh yoda you could offer services.

Depending on what model 8 you get you may have to update it to a 255 it's not a hard job just fiddly getting the ring clamp off to get it out the tank but patience pays off. If its not changed and you up the boost it won't deliver enough fuel and run lean

Wat model dosent need the fuel pump upgrade does the tank have to cum out or can it be done institute is buying a hard pipe kit for the intercooler a gud investment as you say a standard intercooler can Handel 400bhp

I think the mr 340 upwards has the better pump, you just remove the rear bench part of the seat which takes all of 1 min and you complete the job from the inspection panel under the seat.

Hard pipe kit? I thought they all come with hard pipes anyway... But even still the sfs silicon pipes go on drag cars running in excess of 700 bhp so they can take the pressure still.

Well this is the problem I'm struggling to find uprated intercooler kits wen you look for a uprated kit for a Vxr or a s3 there are hundreds all I can find is the Toyo sport one and one from America but I keep stumbling across hard pipe kits
Arrr only problem is I want a yellow one lol

I no that me loverly I'm trying to get my head around ways needed and ways not its nice to no before hand I'm near a place called maldon lol only problem I will buy mine damaged because my dad ownes a body repair company but finding a yellow one is not so easy I will try and get a mr version

I'm trying to find out wat works as becaue the Vxr have problems and so do s3 and you have to change things to make sure they dnt go pop wen u up the boost so wat sort of irritating problems do the evos have do the actuator need upgrade ing so far all I've got is fuel pump which is a nice and easy job and the cheap for a walbro 255 pump so far so gud

I have a yellow 8

What ever you want to do at some point there will be a clutch issue as well more so if your shorting for 400bhp.

Follow the link I posted for stage 1 mods. You should be able to achieve near on 380-400

Anything more and you'll need internal upgrades. If you can't search the net and find the parts needed for any stg1 mod then your searching for the wrong thing lol

Oh and a yellow MR will NOT be found unless it's had a respray

Mr only come in grey scale.

If your going to upgrade it won't make much difference, best bit is the stronger rods..

Well they come in gunmetal grey and silver as the most popular colours think they did red, and then few white but these are the rs.

Sure someone will say I'm wrong lol

Graphite/dark grey colour is the usual but in some other colours but not yellow lol
MR labeling on boot and by gear stick

Think if I was to do buy again would go for the basic evo.
Many to have strong rods
5 speed box is said to be better.
It's cheaper which leaves plenty of money for mods
4 plug ecu opens up a wider selection of second hand ecus off older models.
Would need a high rised spoiler and your away.

Mr is a better base car but if your going to mod.....


Money no object thought 8 mr would be car of choice!!
