Hi I'm new to this, went to look at an evo fq300 the other day and I did a paid car check on it on carcheck.com
Everything came up fine when I entered the Reg then when i put the vin number in off the car it says it didn't match, then I looked at the vin number on the v5 and the code was different.. The numbers where the same but the letters at the beginning where different, this immediately put me off, the dealer said it was to do with it originally being from Japan the code changes? But this is the cars DNA and surely shouldn't change no matter what?
