viii engine change

hay up doing some reserch on iiiv engine change to a iv is there alot of diferent changes or does most of it fit in place :hm: wot i am trying to say is.
is it more trouble than its werth i want to reach 400 bhp and i can not do this safe in a iv engine i need to find out how much work there is in it :wtf: thanks lads and lassys

Should be a straight swap but you'll struggle to find a iiiv engine :razz::razz: :whistling::whistling:

All your manifolds etc will fit straight on to the VII engine so just hlget yourself a bare engine ie block and head and swap everything over

I wouldn't want to push 400bhp through it though as it still has the same weak rods in it as the 6 but pm tombolton on here cos he has a set of Evo IX pistons and rods which would be a good upgrade

wot about turbo the iv will not be big enough though

You could always go for an 80 series turbo off a 9 which is a good upgrade for not a lot of money
