VIII 12V Cigarette Socket Not Working - Help??

ALL SORTED NOW - FUSE 9 ON THE FUSE BOARD BEHIND THE COIN TRAY UNDER STEERING WHEEL

As above iv just gone to plug my Tom Tom in for the first time as its dead and its apparent that my 12v Cigarette socket in my VIII isnt working as the light on the charger for my Tom Tom isn't lighting up or switching on.

i was thinking a fuse maybe but i cant find a fuse that runs it or connections possibly??

Any help would be grateful.

You're going to have to trace it back to the fuse box, I've seen so many of these being spliced or refer to power gauges before.

Yes mate it had wires spiced to it but no gauges are fitted iv removed the wires that where attached to them now and still nothing.

Any ideas where the fuse would be?

v just took the lower center console off and checked all connectors are connected ect, but when i turn on lights the ashtray light and cig socket are suppose to illuminate and they dont, so might be a fuse as the ashtray light and cig lighter run off the same wire. so need to locate the fuse top illuminate that. and iv not got a lighter to test, i just have a 12v cap to fit over the top. ill check with another satnav and see.

All done it was the fuse lol, the Cig socket is Fuse 9 on the fuse board behind the drivers sunglasses glove box under the steering wheel.

My next question is where is the fuse that illuminates the socket and ashtray as they arnt lighting up.

Anyone know what fuse 10 is as mine is missing ??

Have you checked the bulb?!
Does the fuse box cover not explain what's missing!?

Nope but iv just bought 2 T5 286 Blue L.E.D bulbs as the cig lighter and ashtray use the same bulbs.

And on the fuse layout diagram there aint a pic of fuse 10 and i THINK that 10 is Cruise control.. so N/A in my case lol.
