under boosting

hi can any one help with this problem i have changed the auctuator and my evo7 fq300 will still only boost to 0.5 bar i have just adjusted back on the bar so the auctuator needed to be pulled tight to get it over the ball on the arm but still only 0.5 bar i have checked all pipes seem to be ok is the any thing else i should look at cheers ted:confused:

it sounds like you have a boost leak. you will need to do a boost leak test mate, google it as its relatively simple. the basics are check pipes are connected properly.

the bov can leak commonly is it standard. basically you need to pressurise the system and listen for air escaping

iv just made 1 of the wee gadgets to do the boost leak test ill post pics wen i get a chance, although its identical to any other you will see lol

are you still running the standard solenoid? or so you have an after market boost controller?

boosting to 1.2 which it was set at with old actuator fitted but on remap by andy f he said the actuator was on its way out so got a replacement 2nd hand one since fitted only 0.5 boost not sure i have set it up right could the bov be the reason its a hks bov do the brake down? cheers

a bov can leak i had a leaky one so bought aftermarket one and problem sorted. remove the bov all togerther bung up the pipes and see if its boosting right or pinch a mates and test drive it see if your bov is at fault buddy
