Right the tyres are hanging on by threads and now need new ones but can I get away with exchanging the bald ones only or could I do 2 at a time or is a complete new set required? Which is the best brand and cheapest to get bearing in mind I do whack quite a lot of miles on the car. I've always replaced the tyres with what the manufacturer puts on there.
I've had Elite tyres recommended on the A13 so far.

tyres should always be replaced in pairs and no you dont need to do all 4 on a evo but could be a good starting point if your gonna have it for a while, they do tend to wear at the same rate

i will swear by the michelin pilot sport 2 but be prepaired to get your wallet out cos the aint cheap. but they will out last the good year F1 aysemetric which are just as good but dont last quite as long but still a very good tyre !! :)

Fedral rsr's mixed with a Evo are a great combination i got mine from camskills (google them) and it was fast delivery great service and an even greater tyre. Even cold first time out at silverstone yesterday they had great grip and as the day went on they got better and better, also when i got them very hot ok i got a little slides but they never let go and have worn brilliant. I did 128 track miles and overall i would really recomend them,i am using them on the road as well as they are a road and race tyre. I give them 10/10 :D
The size im running is 215/45/17 they were 93 quid each

Done and dusted

Hubby had his wallet out  sooo... got all 4 tyres replaced with goodyear eagle f1 asym2 and completed it off with laser alignment all for £703 from Elite tyres in Rainham, Goodyear are also doing a £20 free fuel voucher :awesome: from Sainsburys when you buy 4 tyres off of them. Checked the tyres out prior to purchasing and great reviews on tyretest.co.uk. That should last a few more thousand miles! :)
