Anyone?
Need someone in the know, seeing as some garages get you to buy the expensive tyres just so they make more money.....

hi mate im a tyre fitter and have an evo 8.ideally you want 235/45/17 but 225/45/17 will do.if you want a really good tyre then bridgestone potenza RE050 IS THE TYRE ive been doing the job for years and trust me if they are good enough as oe on ferrari then they are on the evo.

Hi Stuart,
A tyre that is selected by Ferrari is not necessarily good on any other car. I am sure that until recently it was Pirelli that was supplying the rubber. Also you have to take into consideration what sort of weight stress they are under and how wide the tyre is.

The evo weighs a fraction compared to the ferrari and the tyre size is puny in comparison, that is why, after many years of street racing and time attack etc. it came to be that the tried and tested tyre for the evo is toyproxes. It is the drifters choice too.

Can you get any special prices on tyres for our members Stuart???

Can you also take a moment please to reply to 2 of my posts entitled:
Me My Evo and I
Calling All Evo Owners

Cheers buddy.

this is what im trying to say!the bridgestone has much stronger sidewalls than the toyo + the fact that the bridgestone comes oe on subaru wich is of similar character to the evos, you dont get as much roll with the bridgestone.i dont see toyo as oe equipment on any top performance cars do u????

Hi Stuart,
Yes you are quite right, but that is only because Toyo don't do sponsorship.

Can you possibly get a nice price arranged for members on the bridgestone???
