turbo lag

how bad is the turbo lag on the Evo X.and if there is any does it differ between the SST and the manual .Can't make my mind up about what to choose between .And does the sixth gear on the SST make motorway driving any better? thanks for any advice.

Ive not driven an X and I dont know about the turbo lag but regarding the box from all the info I have seen the general consensus is if you are happy with 360BHP and you get on with the box (ensure you have a good test drive!) get that one if you want to modify get a normal box.

Nick i have just requested a test drive ,hope i can pick the box the test car has got and will let you know what i think.Should be interesting as my current car is a mercedes C200 CDI sport the new shape but still a tractor.
